The New Zealand Prime Minister recently declared that the Easter Bunny is systemically relevant and will therefore carry out its activities as usual. Unfortunately, the local authorities have not yet provided any information on this, but we'll just assume that this also applies here and wish you lots of fun with the socially distanced Easter egg hunt. The weather is unlikely to cause any significant problems. To be on the safe side, we recommend not placing chocolate eggs directly in the sun.
An extensive area of high pressure, which currently lies over western and central Europe, is responsible for plenty of sunshine and mild temperatures. The high-pressure influence will remain with us for the time being. It will be weakest in the north-east, where more spring clouds and perhaps the occasional shower will form over the next few days. The overall situation will not change much over the Easter weekend either, it will just become a little more unstable (= more cumulus clouds, higher shower potential). From today's perspective, Easter Monday in the Eastern Alps looks a little cloudier than recently, but in the forecast it will quickly become sunny again.
