Les Arcs 4* and 2* FWQs
The Les Arcs event was held for the first time in the 2016 season with minor hurdles (not previously announced obligation to wear a harness, participation of riders in the 4* contest who were not actually qualified for it). Last weekend it was time for this year's FWQs in Les Arcs. In addition to the second FWQ 4* of the season in the Alps, there were also two 2* events that served as qualifiers for the 4* event. Apparently, one competition had to be brought forward to Friday - before the officially announced weather window - which caused problems for many participants who were traveling a long way, as they simply had to work and were unable to arrive in time. It is understandable that it is generally difficult to hold freeride contests at the moment due to the snow conditions and that the weather window on Friday had to be used so that the more important 4* could be held afterwards. Nevertheless, such actions make it difficult to give the qualifier and FWT circus a good grade in terms of fairness, credibility and comparability.
