Zanier

Zanier has relocated its headquarters from Lienz to Innsbruck. The new Zanier initiative Mountainpassion includes various components, such as a newsletter with different content, for example on current products or the Freeride World Tour. Another component is the donation of 10% of every order to Krebshilfe Tirol. The highlight for the 2018/19 season will be the Fügen ZX glove. Made from robust goatskin, it will be a reliable companion on and off the slopes. The finger glove has flared seams and a rubberized palm for a secure grip.

Marker

The product of the 2018/19 season at Marker is sure to be the new ALPINIST binding. The top priorities for this binding are values such as low weight (forged aluminum, 245 g) and a relatively low price of approx. 300 EUR. The binding will be available in different versions (Z-value 4-9 or 6-12) and colors (silver-grey and black).

Devold

Devold has a strong new drawcard with the ISPO Award Winner 2018 Tuvegga. The baselayer can be used on both sides: one side is tighter fitting and warms better on cold days. The structured, well-ventilated and cooling side is for warmer days. Tuvegga is available for men and women.

The EGGA Jacket is available with and without a hood, but always with a nice high and warming collar. The waffle structure stores and keeps the warmth close to the body, while the thinner structure simultaneously transports moisture to the outside.

Devold now has its first series (Duo Active) made from organic merino wool. Organic primarily refers to the production and handling of the sheep. Each sheep has the equivalent of at least 1.5 square kilometers of free space, there is no mulesing and great attention is also paid in production, for example, to the pollutants produced and also to waste water.

Fritschi

The Fritschi Tecton will remain the perfectly functioning flagship of the binding manufacturer from Reichenbach, Switzerland, in the 2018/19 season. The binding is well made and offers easy entry thanks to the front stop and relatively low weight for a freeride binding (550 g). All in all, a top binding with absolutely solid workmanship. Of course, crampons are also available for this binding

The brand, which is unfortunately still relatively unknown in Europe, is known for its interesting innovations. This is once again the case with the new "Scala" ski touring skin. It will be available in a light and normal version. The "plastic insert" (hybrid tip connector) between the tip and the start of the skin is intended to make tracking more precise and easier, as well as improving the gliding properties. Unpleasant side effects, such as studding under the skin, are to be prevented. Similarly, guidance on steeper terrain should become easier. The more manageable format of the skins makes them easier to stow in the backpack.
