You reap what you sow!

by Sebastian Müller 03/15/2024
We've reached the autumn of the season, so to speak, and more and more of the films that we presented as trailers in the spring of the season are now appearing: The Hagens, Continuum, Sänkyøu. We reap what we have sown! We also offer you the best amateur vloggers - Marco Bassot and Gerhard Wiedemann - with a bit of FWT risk management and a good podcast with Maxime Chabloz at the end.

THE LEAGUE || A Future for Freeskiing

A freestyle film with a lot of heart. The riders emancipate themselves from their judges and create their own mini competition series and judge themselves. A model for freeride too? Please, yes!

Sänkyøu

Freestylers go to Svalbard in Norway with a mountain guide: "A true Arctic ski adventure beyond the sculpted terrain park."

Buy the way, I'm Marco from Dolomites, Italy

Marco has been with us here for a long time. In this video, he shows us his best descent, which really is of the highest quality, and then stages his injury the following day in wet snow... or did he just slip? Get well soon, Marco!

The Hagens

Warning for all those who have not yet realised their family plans: the dream of the mountain sports family in Chamonix is presented here in the sweetest and coolest way.

Freeriding - Deadly risk for the ultimate adrenaline rush

Sam Anthamatten confronts the cliché of our community in a documentary on national television, see title: We are all adrenaline junkies! In the end, however, the film is well reflected and beautifully illuminated, and the risks are carefully weighed up.

Gerhard Wiedemann: Rotbühelspitze (2853m)

Our ski tour to the Rotbühelspitze from Gargellen in Vorarlberg at the beginning of March has a longer season and can certainly be undertaken for quite some time. From the start at an altitude of 1400 metres, the route first takes you along a ski slope and then through the long Valzifenztal valley to the Zollwachthütte at 2200 metres. There you turn right and later left again towards the Rotbühelspitze. The final ascent is quite steep and requires safe avalanche conditions.

On the way back from the Zollwachthütte, we made another ascent to the Valzifenzjoch (approx. another 300 metres) and descended via the Vergaldatal - a very rewarding round tour.

How to analyse the snowpack and identify risks

A little bit of snow knowledge never hurts!

CONTINUUM

Jackets become a tent, and there is a lot of freeriding around it. An important or nice signal for more cyclical production and consumption!

Close-Up w/ Elena Hight

A portrait. How do you get out of the X Games and Olympic chaos? Yoga and freeride!

DAILY ROUTINE EP.#25 "LA VIÈRGE" / Jérémie Heitz

Jérémie does what Jérémie does, but this time without a paraglider but by bus!

Suspended in Space

"I've been searching for stillness,

there's something about the Arctic air,

like something I've been longing for,

the North will always provide that for me."

Maxime Chabloz | Low Pressure Podcast #255

Maxime has established himself on the FWT with creative and spectacular lines, and he doesn't crash that often. He made the cut and did quite well in Fieberbrunn!
